Brand New Makeup Geek Eyeshadows|Swatches!

Hello my loves! How are you guys doing today? Wonderful I hope! As you can see from the tittle, today we will be going over the brand new Makeup Geek eyeshadows and as always I will be providing you with swatches! You know the drill! Makeup Geek is seriously one of my very favorite brands out there period, end of discussion on that!

The brand is so very affordable being at drugstore prices, and even cheaper than some drugstore single eyeshadows. In my personal opinion her eyeshadows are so much better than M•A•C. Marlena is an amazing person! She’s so sweet you guys! If you haven’t already, check out her YouTube channel! It’s MakeupGeektv.

Her eyeshadows are not only perfect in pigmentation, longevity, blendability, price, and texture but her ingredients are also amazing! She does not use any cheap fillers like most cosmetic companies. Even the highend companies sneak cheap fillers in on us. Her eyeshadows also do not contain Talc. The company is based here in the USA and the lab that creates the formula’s are as well! You just simply cannot ask for more out of a makeup company!
She will also be releasing a complete line in the future such as concealers, foundations and highlighters and much more I’m sure. She already has amazing contour powders for every single skintones and undertones. She will also be launching lipsticks. I think she said they will be out by this June but, don’t quote me on that!

MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Smoothing Primer|Worth the Hype?

Hello my loves! How have you all been doing? I sure hope you’ve been doing very well! I am so very sorry that it has literally been forever since I have put up a blog. For some reason I have been battling with a bit of depression lately and also suffering from anxiety. If you or someone that you know suffers from depression, you know that it is very hard to get and stay motivated and truly difficult to be very productive in any aspect really. But on a much brighter note, I am bouncing back little by little. Which that also means that I can get back to blogging very often! On a side note, if you have ever dealt with depression, just know that you are not alone and that you can indeed recover and move past this point in your life! But I have done enough chatting so let’s begin on what this blog is really about.

We all want that “perfect” looking skin that has no noticeable pores are fine lines, right? Yes girl, of course we do! I mean who wouldn’t? I am always on the hunt for a primer that fills in my pores and the little smile lines that I have around my mouth. Because come on, sporting parentheses around the mouth isn’t cute. Unfortunately there are just so many “pore feeling” primers that either doesn’t work, or it dries my already dry skin out. Like for an example, I find the Benefit POREfessional  Face Primer kind of drying on me but most of all it just balls up on my skin. Do you know what I’m saying? Anyone else ever had that issue before? Anyway, the only pore filling primer that I absolutely adore is the YVES SAINT LAURENT (YSL) Touche Eclat Blur Primer. And girl let me tell you, that will cost you an arm and a leg coming in at a whopping $52.00 for 1fl. oz.! I did a blog on that if you’re interested in checking it out for more details! But let’s begin!

MAKE UP FOR EVER STEP 1 Skin Equalizer Smoothing Primer

When it comes to makeup I am very picky! Especially with primers and foundations because I’m all about flawless looking skin (or as close to it as possible anyway). I had first heard of the Make Up For Ever Smoothing Primer from the amazing miss Jaclyn Hill that’s on YouTube! And she too has dry skin so I thought hey, this might be worth a try! So with all of that being said, it’s time for the details!

The primer truly does feel in pores and fine lines. It glides on the skin effortlessly. Make Up For Ever Smoothing Primer does actually keep your makeup locked in all day/night long! I’ve noticed the very best way to apply this primer is by dabbing it on the areas of the face where you have the most problematic spots. You can use your fingers (with clean hands) to really push that product into the skin. Another method that I love is to gently apply it in the areas that need it and go in with a dry Beauty Blender or any other sponge and just press it in. I wait about 5 minutes before going in with foundation. You obviously do not have to do that, but I find it works best for me. Also it gives the primer extra time to absorb. I give the Make Up For Ever Smoothing Primer a full ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I highly recommend this primer to anyone! My dry, combination, and oily skinned gals can all where this primer!

The consistency isn’t runny at all but does make the face feel velvety smooth!

LANCÔME MY PARISIAN PASTELS PALETTE Hot Or Not!

Shimmer Cube Eyeshadow and Highlighters Palette

It’s that time of year again of which every single makeup brand has already launched their new summer makeup collections. It’s also that time of the year where us makeup fanatics start to notice wallets, purses, and bank accounts dwindling down. The only two things that increase is credit card debt, and our makeup collections! So with that being said, it’s important to know what’s hot and what’s not! So let’s begin ladies!

I have been eyeing this palette for a few months now because I thought that it looked rather unique. As you can clearly pick up on by the entitlement of this palette, it contains all pastel colors that really just pop out to the eye and gets you in the mood for spring/summer!

The packaging is also another thing that caught my attention, as it is just so cute! These cubes come in a small tin packaging that is very sturdy. The thing that truly stood out the very most (besides the colors) for me though, was that you can take each individual cube out! You can switch them around however you like. They do have numbers on the back of each cube, numbered 1 through 9. The cubes themselves are also individually in cased with little lids on them so that they do not get destroyed.

This palette is truly one of the most versatile palette’s that I have ever seen! Such a creative and innovative idea! As in the product description it can be used for eyeshadow, blush, and highlighters. This palette truly is limitless and absolutely perfect for all skintones. You will find a reason to use every single shade!

Next up we have the texture. The product is so smooth and just glides right on effortlessly! The color selection is completely brilliant and perfect for this time of year! You have your pastel pinks, yellows, purples, and peachy tones! No matter your skintone, there will be a gorgeous highlighter and blush for you in this palette. Though you may just want to use some shades as blush toppers to really get that glow factor!

The My Parisian Pastels Palette will not crease on you throughout the day/night. But I always recommend using some sort of base or eye shadow primer for any eyeshadow. I truly do not understand why people aren’t raving about this palette being as it is so unique and versatile! Yes it is a bit costly, but you get a ton of product, and very little goes a very long way!

This palette was designed and created by the brilliant makeup artist Lisa Eldridge. I absolutely love it when a makeup artist creates their own product because it’s usually going to be great considering makeup artists know what works, and what doesn’t. I highly recommend this palette to anyone who can afford it! Now, it’s time for the swatches my loves!

Now in this photo some of the shades look almost identical but in person they do not! So keep in mind that this photo doesn’t really do these colors justice!
