Why I Have A Love Hate For Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

image

I would like to address something before I go forward into details in this beauty blog. I am a blogger because I love makeup and just the gorgeous art of it as well. So I am always buying and trying makeup products. Unfortunately you do run into makeup that doesn’t quite live up to what you expected. With that being said, I in no way enjoy or like bashing makeup companies and that is not what I am here to do. I am here to be brutally honest with my subscribers as honesty is all that truly matters! I am in no way bashing Too Faced Cosmetics. In fact they are one of my favorite makeup brands on the market! If the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation happens to be a holy grail of yours, please do not get offended as everyone has different tastes and preferences. Now let’s get started with the descriptions and then my personal thoughts my loves!

Product Claims:
“Born This Way is an Oil-Free foundation that masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin. For coverage so undetectable, you can’t see the makeup and you can’t see imperfections – all that’s left is naturally radiant skin that looks like you were Born This Way.”

Details:
“This revolutionary foundation is infused with a potent combination of Coconut Water to naturally replenish moisture levels; nature’s resilient Alpine Rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity and Hyaluronic Acid for a smoother, more youthful appearance.”

More to Love:
• Medium -to-full undetectable coverage
• Oil-Free
• Coconut Water helps delicately replenish skin’s moisture levels without overhydrating – for the look of radiant skin
• Infused with the resilient Alpine Rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity
• Hyaluronic Acid helps balance skin for a smoother, more youthful appearance
• APPLICATION TIP: For Medium coverage, apply a small amount from the center of the face outward and blend with fingertips, sponge, or brush. Build to full coverage by layering as needed.

Price $39.00 1.0fl. oz.

On the box of the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation, they have claims that clearly state, and I quote exactly “100% said this foundation BLURRED their imperfections
98% said this foundation made their skin look absolutely PERFECT
97% said this foundation provided NATURAL coverage”

First things first, it did not blur anything on my face whatsoever. And they do say that it is “consumer study results” so maybe it is just me. And when it comes to making my skin look “perfect” well, it doesn’t do that either. I have applied this foundation using my fingers (clean hands of course) using a dampened sponge, and high end foundation brushes yet the outcome is always the same. Which let’s face it ladies, they’ll never be a foundation created to make you look “perfect” unless photoshopped. 😉

The things that I do love about this foundation is that it does have great ingredients such as the Coconut Water, Alpine Rose, and Hyaluronic Acid. So I love that!
Next is it does have a very natural looking coverage just so long as you don’t apply it on thick. Bravo to Too Faced for creating a foundation that does in fact cover every skin tone range so that everyone can find their perfect match! I hate when companies leave out so many skin tones in their foundation line.

Last but certainly not least, I love the packaging! I think that Too Faced always has the cutest packaging ever! The bottle is a slightly frosted glass with the adorable Too Faced Logo on the top of the lid. It does come with a pump which I love because it keeps the foundation sanitary!

Bottom line, this foundation isn’t bad but from my personal experiences with it, it doesn’t deliver every single thing it’s advertised to do. But I am just speaking about me personally. In my opinion it is just your average foundation. Not some miracle worker. With all of that being said, I give Born This Way Foundation a ⭐⭐⭐ stars.

In this photo you will see that the foundation is slightly runny but not too runny. It is perfectly straight down the middle. And just for the record I am currently in the shade Nude.

So what are your personal thoughts on the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation? Is it a holy grail of yours? Was it hit or miss for you? I just want to know exactly your personal thoughts on it!

Now I will show you photos of all 18 shades in order to help you find your perfect match if interested!
